President Aliyev: "I gave stern order to not target Armenian population, civilian infrastructure"

"Before the start of the [local anti-terror] operation, I, once again, gave all our military units the stern order, that the Armenian population living in the Karabakh region should not be targeted by the anti-terrorist measures and that the civilian population should be protected".

According to AZERTAC, President Ilham Aliyev said this in his speech to the people on September 20.

"We achieved this by using precision weapons, and the civilian population was at the same time feeling fully protected thanks to the professionalism of our Armed Forces. At the same time, the order was given not to conduct any attacks on civilian infrastructure but to only disable military infrastructure", the head of state reiterated, stressing that the professionalism and technical capabilities of our army allowed us to perform this task with honor.
