Kadyrov, Putin mull Chechen involvement in Ukraine war

Chechen head Ramzan Kadyrov has revealed details of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to Kadyrov, he reported to the Russian head of state on the socio-economic situation in Chechnya and also discussed with the president the participation of Chechen fighters in the Ukraine war, Gazeta.Ru reported.

"The Supreme Commander-in-Chief noted that he is aware of the successes of Chechen units and the resolute attitude of the personnel in fulfilling their assigned tasks," Kadyrov wrote.

The Chechen leader reported to Putin on work to supply combatants with equipment and medicines, emphasising that regional payments to volunteers from the republic had been established in addition to federal payments. He also informed the Russian leader that more than 23,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid had been sent from Chechnya to the population of the territories occupied by the Russian Federation and military personnel.

In addition, Kadyrov and Putin discussed Chechnya's future plans and achievements.

"The head of state noted the positive dynamics in the development of the region in this direction. I reported in detail on the socio-economic situation in the republic and voiced several issues in which we need help," Kadyrov noted.
