Czech Republic collects 500,000 shells for Ukraine

    WORLD  17 April 2024 - 17:23

Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala has said that thanks to the Czech initiative to purchase shells, Ukraine has received 500,000 units of ammunition.

He said Ukraine will receive another 1 million shells in the next 12 months, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Czech government website.

“I am glad, that at this moment, about twenty countries already joined our initiative – from Canada, Germany and the Netherlands to Poland. Thanks to them, we can now provide 500,000 rounds of artillery ammunition. We believe that more deliveries will follow,” Fiala said.
