Giant meteor seen lighting up skies of Portugal

On the evening of May 18, a huge bright blue meteorite flew over Portugal.

A bright flash of light in the sky seen mainly in the northern regions of Portugal, but many residents of the southern regions, judging by social networks, also noticed the meteorite, Publico reports, citing the Portuguese who saw the meteor.

At the same time, there is no data on the fall of the celestial body.

According to Publico, at night rescuers received a call that the object may have collapsed in Serre de Montemuro, but nothing was found at the site of the alleged fall.
