Armenian MoD refuses to clarify Hakobyan's claim of 11,000 Karabakh war deserters

The Armenian Defence Ministry has refused to comment on the Armenian media request concerning the statement of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's wife Anna Hakobyan about 11,000 servicemen deserted the 44-day Second Karabakh War of 2020.

Earlier, Hakobyan stated that during the 44-day war, "we had 11,000 deserters" - soldiers, volunteers, officers, etc.

“We propose to clarify the information about criminal cases under Articles 361 and 362 of the former Criminal Code of Armenia, initiated in connection with unauthorized leaving of the place of service or desertion, with the body conducting criminal proceedings,” the Armenian Defence Ministry replied to the media, Caliber.Az reports.
