Türkiye taps into tactical intelligence with next-generation electronic support system PHOTO
The Turkish Armed Forces have officially added the latest domestically developed electronic support system to their arsenal, marking another milestone in Türkiye’s growing defence industry capabilities.
The announcement was made by Turkish Ministry of National Defence spokesperson Zeki Aktürk during a weekly press briefing, where he confirmed the delivery and operational integration of the ASELSAN MILKED-3A3 electronic support system, Caliber.Az reports.

"The inspection and acceptance of the MILKED (3A3) electronic support system has been completed and it has been included in the Armed Forces’ inventory," Aktürk stated.
The ASELSAN MILKED-3A3 is a ground-based Mobile V/UHF Electronic Support (ES) System, developed to enhance the Turkish military’s capability to detect, monitor, and analyse enemy communications. Designed for deployment across various platforms, the system operates within the V/UHF frequency bands and plays a pivotal role in signal intelligence and battlefield awareness.
Capable of intercepting and diagnosing a wide array of communication signals, the MILKED-3A3 system not only pinpoints signal direction and location but also possesses the ability to listen in and analyse transmissions down to the language spoken—offering a significant tactical advantage.
One of the notable features of the MILKED-3A3 is its interoperability with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This capability allows the system to contribute actively to Türkiye’s electronic warfare operations, especially by leveraging UAVs for broader signal interception and strategic situational awareness.
The induction of the MILKED-3A3 reflects Türkiye’s strategic push to modernise its armed forces with homegrown, high-tech defence solutions, thereby reducing reliance on foreign systems and solidifying its standing as a rising power in the global defence sector.
The system, developed by leading Turkish defence firm ASELSAN, is expected to significantly bolster the military’s electronic warfare and reconnaissance capabilities, especially in complex operational environments where communication dominance is critical.
