Qatari Emir lands in Moscow for high-stakes talks with Putin

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has arrived in Russia on an official visit.

The Qatari leader landed at Moscow’s Vnukovo-2 Airport earlier on April 17, ahead of planned high-level talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Caliber.Az reports referring to Russian media.

The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral relations across various sectors, as well as regional developments and issues of mutual concern.

The visit comes amid increasing diplomatic engagement between Doha and Moscow, with both sides reportedly keen to deepen cooperation in fields such as energy, trade, and regional security.
