Armenian PM plans visit to Türkiye for high-level talks on regional peace
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is expected to travel to Ankara on June 20 for a high-level meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
According to Armenian media, citing a senior diplomatic source, the planned visit will focus on discussions surrounding Armenia’s bilateral relations with both Türkiye and Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports.
A key item on the agenda is said to be the ongoing efforts to reach a peace agreement between Yerevan and Baku. Other regional matters are also expected to be raised during the talks.
Journalists reached out to the Armenian prime minister’s spokesperson, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, for confirmation or comment, but she did not answer calls.
This upcoming visit follows a phone conversation between Pashinyan and Erdoğan on June 5, during which the two leaders exchanged views on Armenian-Turkish relations and regional developments.
