Kremlin: Warsaw would disappear within two or three days

15 September 2026 13:01

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, in claiming Poland’s military superiority over Russia, fails to realise that Warsaw would disappear within two or three days in the event of military action against Moscow, Russian presidential aide Nikolai Patrushev has said.

In an interview with aif.ru, he claimed that the Polish foreign minister was clearly assessing Russia’s military capabilities in an amateurish manner and did not want to understand that Russian armed forces are not using their full potential during what Moscow calls the “special military operation,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

In his words, however, Russia has no grounds to wage war against Europe and poses no threat to anyone.

“Obsessed with militarism, Sikorski does not want to hear the words of the Russian president that Russia poses no threat to anyone and that our country has no grounds to conduct military operations against Europe,” he remarked.

Speaking at the Yalta European Strategy (YES) conference in Kyiv, Sikorski argued that if Russia attacked NATO and the alliance “took its gloves off,” it would defeat Russia “quite quickly” thanks to overwhelming superiority in air power.

He cited roughly 2,500 aircraft across the alliance and said the advantage would remain even without US involvement.

Sikorski further claimed that Europe could destroy half of Russia’s oil-refining capacity within six weeks, far faster than Ukraine’s ongoing campaign against Russian refineries.
