4.2-magnitude earthquake recorded in Russia’s Kamchatka

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 has been recorded in a Russian region, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The agency said the tremors were recorded on September 15, at 14:38 Moscow time, Caliber.Az reports.
The magnitude reached 4.2, which seismologists classify as a noticeable earthquake that could cause minor damage near the epicentre.
The epicentre was located 72 kilometres east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, which has a population of around 2,400. The quake occurred at a depth of 50 kilometres.
No casualties or damage have been reported in the Russian region.
