"Armenians in Karabakh are just fearful, voiceless slaves" Armenian activist on criminal regime in Khankendi
Armenian activist and blogger Ishkhan Verdyan, who advocates for the speedy establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and Armenia and Türkiye, wrote that the "holy Artsakh" presented by Armenians to the whole world is in fact a criminal enclave.
"Armenians have no idea what they are fighting for. They are fighting for 'Artsakh' [inverted commas], but they don't know what it really is,” he wrote on social media.
" ’Artsakh’ is a beautiful sacred screen behind which the incomprehensible scale of plunder and anarchy is concealed. The crimes of the Karabakh political and military leadership against their own people and their own ‘country’ cannot be described in words. The ‘holy Artsakh’ that is presented to the world is in fact a self-contained criminal enclave in which lawlessness is the only law that works, and the ordinary people are simply fear-driven, voiceless slaves.”
He added that the Armenian parents demanding a continuation of the legal bacchanalia called “Artsakh” have probably forgotten how the Karabakh generals used their sons as convicts, forcing them to do the hardest civil work and punishing them for insubordination.
“However, their sons will not talk about such things. I didn't, for instance," Verdyan wrote.
