"Agile Spirit 2025" military drill kicks off in Georgia
Georgia has formally launched the 12th edition of the multinational military exercise "Agile Spirit."
The opening ceremony took place at the NATO–Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC) in Krtsanisi, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgia’s First Channel.
Several high-ranking Georgian officials addressed the participating troops at the event, including Georgian First Deputy Defence Minister Paata Patiashvili, Deputy Commander of the Georgian Defence Forces Major General Irakli Chichinadze, as well as US Army Europe and Africa training Commander, Brigadier General Terry Tillis. They all emphasized the importance of the drills and wished the military personnel success.
The Agile Spirit 2025 drill involves military personnel from Georgia, the United States, Türkiye, and eight other countries, as well as two multinational units. Observers from two nations are also monitoring the exercises.
The main objectives of the drills are to enhance the combat readiness of the participating armed forces, strengthen interoperability, and improve operational capabilities.
