Iran: Deadly assault targets IRGC’s West Azerbaijan martyrs base in Sardasht

A spokesperson for the IRGC’s West Azerbaijan martyrs base, Colonel Shaker, has reported that a terrorist group launched an indiscriminate attack on an IRGC military base near the village of Aghlan in Sardasht on July 26.

The assault resulted in the death of one Basij member and left another injured, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iranian media.

Colonel Shaker did not disclose the identity of the attackers or their motives but confirmed that the target was an IRGC base in the area.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident, while local officials have yet to release any further statements.
