ALKARA debuts as Türkiye’s agile solution against deadly FPV kamikaze drones PHOTO
Turkish defence company DASAL Aviation Technologies has officially unveiled its advanced anti-drone system, ALKARA, at the International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF) 2025.
The rotary-wing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is designed to intercept and neutralize fast-moving FPV (First-Person View) kamikaze drones and other airborne threats with high precision and autonomy, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.

In an era marked by rapidly evolving asymmetric threats, small and inexpensive FPV drones have emerged as a major security challenge due to their high destructive potential. ALKARA represents Türkiye’s strategic answer to this growing menace, combining advanced targeting capabilities with agile aerial interception.
ALKARA features a rotary-wing architecture and an air-to-air strike profile, allowing it to engage enemy UAVs with remarkable maneuverability. The system supports manual target selection but is capable of executing fully autonomous missions, from detection to neutralization. It leverages real-time data from ground-based radars, which is verified using state-of-the-art electro-optical sensors. Advanced image processing algorithms further enhance target acquisition accuracy.
Once locked onto a target, ALKARA executes its mission by detonating its onboard munitions at the optimal distance to ensure destruction of the hostile aircraft. Its 360-degree engagement capability allows for rapid response in dynamic airspace conditions, including the interception of swarms and loitering munitions.
Weighing under 6 kg, ALKARA can be deployed within two minutes and is operable by a single person. It offers real-time video transmission and mission recording, ensuring effective performance even in extreme weather conditions and complex operational scenarios.
