Iranian Navy marks end of 100-day international waters mission
The 103rd flotilla of the Iranian Navy docked in the Navy’s 3rd District after completing a 100-day deployment in international waters, during which it participated in a joint naval exercise in South Africa.
The flotilla arrived at Konarak Port in Sistan and Baluchestan Province in southeastern Iran, having sailed approximately 13,000 nautical miles over the course of its mission, Mehr News Agency reports.
The task group comprised the Makran forward base ship, the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy destroyer Naqdi, and the Shahid Mahdavi helicopter carrier belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy. The deployment began in early December 2025 with the objective of taking part in the international joint maritime exercise codenamed “Will for Peace 2026,” held in January at Simon’s Town Port in Cape Town, South Africa.
The flotilla received an official welcome ceremony upon entering Iran’s territorial waters and docking in Konarak, marking the conclusion of its extended overseas mission.
