August sees record number of Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory

Ukraine recorded its highest monthly number of effective strikes against targets in Russia in August, with 70 drone and missile strikes documented during the month, according to an assessment by OSINT analyst Oko Gora.

The figures, cited by the analyst, indicate an increase from 65 effective strikes recorded in July, 42 in June and 49 in May. The assessment covers strikes that Oko Gora classified as having hit their intended targets.

Oil refineries and warehouses accounted for the largest share of the reported strikes, with 23 attacks against each category.

The analysis also recorded eight strikes on ports, seven on airfields and five on enterprises linked to Russia’s defence industry. Two strikes each were reported against substations and military facilities.

The figures reflect publicly documented incidents and an OSINT-based assessment rather than an independently verified tally of all Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory. Oko Gora has continued to publish monthly assessments tracking the scale and targets of Ukrainian strikes.
