Moscow reports interception of 95 Ukrainian UAVs in night assault
Russian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 95 unmanned aerial vehicles launched by the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the night of February 27, according to a statement from the Russian Defence Ministry.
“Air defence forces on duty intercepted and destroyed 95 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles,” the ministry said.
The ministry reported that the drones targeted multiple regions across the country, including Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Smolensk, Tver, and Tula regions.
Additional UAVs were downed over the Krasnodar Territory and the Moscow Region, with authorities noting that five of the drones were heading toward the capital. Russian air defences also destroyed Ukrainian drones operating over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
