Anton Dzhalyabov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom Neft, has been detained in Saint Petersburg on suspicion of accepting bribes totalling over 29 million rubles (around $377,861), Russian law enforcement authorities told TASS.
Dzhalyabov was arrested by officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Main Directorate for Economic Security and Anti-Corruption. A criminal case has been opened under the charge of receiving bribes on a particularly large scale (Part 6, Article 290 of the Russian Criminal Code).
According to investigators, the executive is suspected of two bribery incidents in 2020 and 2021 involving contractors’ executives. Authorities stated that Dzhalyabov used 28 million rubles (around $363,866) from the bribes to purchase an apartment in Sochi, and one of the bribes was a boat valued at 1.7 million rubles (around $22,092).

In April 2024, he became Deputy Chairman of the Board, overseeing the Exploration and Production Department. He previously worked at Gazprom for about 19 years and led Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk for two years prior to joining Gazprom Neft.
