Armenian, Polish PMs focus on trade, reforms, peace initiatives
The official visit of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Poland continues with high-level discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral and multilateral ties.
The day began with an official welcoming ceremony for Pashinyan, followed by a private meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
Tusk welcomed Pashinyan’s visit, expressing confidence that it would provide “a new impetus to the development of bilateral relations in all directions.” He emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation with Armenia in sectors including the economy, infrastructure, security, education, and science. The Polish Prime Minister also highlighted Poland’s interest in deepening engagement with Armenia, particularly in the context of its relationship with the European Union (EU).
PM Pashinyan thanked for the warm hospitality and underscored the importance of continued multilateral cooperation with Poland. He “highly appreciated the assistance provided by Poland in the implementation of institutional reforms in Armenia” and expressed hope that such support would continue. Pashinyan stressed the significance of promoting economic cooperation as part of deepening trade and economic ties, and highlighted Poland’s role in advancing Armenia-EU cooperation.
The sides also discussed the implementation of joint programs and broader regional issues, including the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) initiative. Matters related to the further development of Armenia-EU cooperation were also addressed.
