Armenia to “inventory” its relations with Russia, PM says

03 September 2026 13:01

Armenia plans to conduct an “inventory” of its relations with Russia to assess the areas where the two countries share common positions and those where their views diverge, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Thursday, September 3.

Pashinyan said the idea emerged during his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“We came up with the idea of conducting an inventory of the concept of ‘Armenian-Russian relations’ in order to understand what it means in practice — that is, which areas exist under this heading where we have the same position and which are different, where we have an unequivocally positive view and where we do not,” Pashinyan said at a briefing following a government meeting.
