Pashinyan hails growing interest in Armenian dried-fruit products

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said the country is increasingly being recognised for the quality of its dried-fruit products, calling for state support to expand their exports.

According to Caliber.Az, citing Armenian media, Pashinyan said interest in Armenian dried-fruit products was emerging in different markets and described the sector as a promising area for development.

“There are now dried-fruit products, and I hear from various places that there is growing interest in them. This is an interesting direction.

The season for fresh fruit and vegetables has ended, and it is already time for us to introduce programmes to support the export of dried fruit and canned goods,” Pashinyan said.

He said Armenia should introduce export-support programmes for dried fruit and canned food now that the season for fresh fruit and vegetables has ended.
