Russia to showcase its top fighter with next-generation weapons
Russia’s fifth-generation Su-57E fighter jet will be showcased in its export configuration at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026 in Egypt, featuring a completely new weapons system that has never previously been demonstrated either in Russia or abroad.
As part of the flight program, the aircraft will perform advanced aerobatic manoeuvres, Caliber.Az reports, citing Rostec, Russia’s state-owned defence and technology conglomerate.
“The Su-57 is the flagship fighter of the Russian Aerospace Forces, with its capabilities confirmed under real combat conditions. Now, this aircraft is also gaining ground in export markets. Deliveries to foreign partners who fully understand the advantages of this aircraft are already underway.
New modifications of the fighter are becoming even more effective and dangerous. In Egypt, we are presenting the export version with absolutely new weapons, which are being demonstrated for the first time,” Rostec said.
The Su-57E is characterised by a low radar signature, supermaneuverability, and a wide range of weapons.
The El Alamein International Airshow 2026 will be held at El Alamein International Airport in Egypt from September 8 to 10. Rosoboronexport, Russia’s state-owned defence export company, is organising the country’s joint exhibition.
