Kazakhstan: Café blast in Shchuchinsk leaves seven dead VIDEO
As many as seven people have died following an explosion at a café in the town of Shchuchinsk, local authorities in Kazakhstan said on February 27.
The death toll had risen to seven as emergency teams continued to work at the scene, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media.
Regional health officials said additional medical teams had been rapidly deployed. All necessary resources, including specialist doctors, medicines and equipment, have been mobilised.
Air ambulance services have also been dispatched to the affected area.
Among those killed was a 16-year-old girl, according to the authorities.
Thirteen people remain in hospital at the Burabay District Hospital, while six others have been discharged and placed under outpatient supervision.
