Missile debris damages apartment building in Russia, killing one Photo
Debris from a missile fell on a residential apartment building in the southern Russian city of Taganrog, according to regional officials.
Yuri Slyusar, governor of the Rostov Oblast, said part of a balcony on a building on Tsiolkovsky Street was damaged. A woman was inside the apartment at the time of the incident, though her condition has not yet been confirmed. Preliminary information indicates there were no casualties. Authorities have not specified whether the missile was Ukrainian or the result of Russian air defence activity, Caliber.Az reports.
Separately, in Russia’s western Kursk Oblast, a Ukrainian drone struck a car service centre in the Seimsky district, according to Governor Alexander Khinshtein. A 25-year-old employee was killed in the attack, and three others sustained shrapnel injuries.
Officials say at least 14 Russian regions have declared missile threat alerts. The measure has been introduced for the first time since the start of the war in the Sverdlovsk Oblast, Udmurt Republic, Republic of Tatarstan and Perm Krai, underscoring the widening geographic impact of the conflict.
