Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan explore expanded cooperation in space sector
The Uzbeksosm Agency held a working meeting with Beibut Atamkulov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation in the space industry.
The discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between Uzbeksosm and Kazakhstan’s Committee for Aerospace Research under the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, Caliber.Az reports per Uzbek media.
Both sides reviewed existing projects and explored opportunities to expand joint initiatives, including space education programs, specialist training, and the development of tourism at the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
During the meeting, the Uzbek delegation received an official invitation to participate in Space Days Kazakhstan, scheduled for September 7–9 in Astana. The event is expected to provide a platform for sharing expertise and showcasing the aerospace achievements of both countries.
