A boat carrying 12 people caught fire off the coast of Kınalıada, one of the Princes’ Islands near Istanbul, Türkiye, on July 25.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.

The blaze spread rapidly, prompting passengers to jump into the Sea of Marmara to escape the flames. The Turkish Coast Guard was dispatched immediately after the alarm was raised.
