Arrival of Novruz causes panic among Armenians Chronicles of Western Azerbaijan/VIDEO
The project "Chronicles of Western Azerbaijan" has produced a report.
The story titled "Traditions of Novruz in Western Azerbaijan" tells about thousands of years of historical traditions of our people associated with the Novruz holiday and how the Spring Festival was celebrated in our historical land in Western Azerbaijan, Report informs.
The story notes that in Western Azerbaijan, Novruz was considered a major holiday until 1988. When Novruz holiday came, Armenians fell into a panic. They harboured a deep hatred towards Azerbaijanis living in Western Azerbaijan, just as they do against all Turkic peoples.
Novruz, which is celebrated annually in Azerbaijan on a state level, has had an impact on the Turkic world as well. This holiday is the great history of the Turkic, Azerbaijani people.
The story ends with a wish: "The bonfire of Novruz kindled in Shusha will be lit again in our occupied lands in West Azerbaijan".
