Azerbaijan highlights tourism potential at major events across China
Azerbaijan's tourism potential has been showcased in China, with a series of B2B (business-to-business) seminars organized by the State Tourism Agency.
Over 300 participants attended these events, Caliber.Az reports citing the agency.
To enhance awareness of Azerbaijan within the Chinese tourism sector and strengthen its market presence, presentation events were held in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Beijing from September 18 to 24. These initiatives were spearheaded by the Tourism Bureau under the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan.
During the meetings, Azerbaijan's diverse tourism offerings were highlighted, including its mountain resorts, health tourism, nature tourism, luxury winter tourism, and the country's tangible cultural heritage, which is recognized on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Opportunities for business tourism were also discussed.
Between January and August of this year, Azerbaijan welcomed 26,866 Chinese visitors, more than doubling the number from the same period last year.
