Azerbaijan, Iran agree to strengthen mutual trust PHOTO
An agreement has been reached to continue measures aimed at strengthening mutual trust between Azerbaijan and Iran, as announced by Hikmet Hajiyev, the assistant to Azerbaijan's president, on social network X.
"Within the visit to Tehran had fruitful discussions with Dr.Mehdi Sanaei Political Advisor to the President of IR of Iran and Foreign Minister Mr. Abbas Araghchi. Views were exchanged on further advancement of friendly Azerbaijan-Iran bilateral ties based on the principles of peaceful-political co-existence, non-interference into internal affairs and good neighborly relations," Hajiyev wrote in the post, Caliber.Az informs.

The discussions covered cooperation within various regional and international frameworks, including the 3+3 format, the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
Hajiyev highlighted that "an agreement was reached on continuing measures to strengthen mutual trust.
Additionally, the significance of regional and trans-regional projects was emphasized during the meetings. "Aghband-Nakhchivan and North-South Transport Corridors were underlined as important regional and trans-regional connectivity projects serving the mutual interests of two countries," Hajiyev stated.
