Azerbaijan’s senior official stresses diplomacy, security, peace with Armenia
Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmet Hajiyev, held an in-depth discussion with leaders of prominent think tanks and representatives of socio-political circles on the evolving foreign policy landscape and regional security issues.
The meeting, hosted by the Centre for Analysis of International Relations (Air Centre), served as a high-level platform for dialogue on Azerbaijan’s strategic priorities, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
During the session, Hajiyev elaborated on the current trajectory of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy and addressed pressing international and regional security challenges. A focal point of the discussion was the ongoing process of normalisation of relations with Armenia. Hajiyev outlined the progress made, the existing obstacles, and Azerbaijan’s commitment to a peaceful and sustainable resolution grounded in principles of international law and territorial integrity.
The conversation also touched on Azerbaijan’s growing diplomatic presence and influence across international platforms. Hajiyev emphasized the country’s proactive efforts to strengthen its global partnerships and secure its national interests through balanced, multilateral engagement.
