Azerbaijan, Jordan deepen dialogue on interparliamentary relations
Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (Parliament) Sahiba Gafarova has met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Mazen Torki Al-Qadi, where they discussed expanding interparliamentary cooperation and strengthening bilateral ties.
During the meeting, Gafarova emphasised that bilateral relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries have reached a high level, noting that mutual visits and high-level contacts between the heads of state play an important role in this development, Caliber.Az reports via Milli Majlis.
She also highlighted that cooperation and mutual support between the two countries within the framework of the UN, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement, and other international organisations remain satisfactory.
Al-Qadi, in turn, commented on the development of relations between the two parliaments, including legislative experience exchange, investment promotion, humanitarian cooperation, youth engagement, and other areas.
He stressed that the visit and meeting with the Speaker of the Milli Majlis provide a good opportunity to further expand interparliamentary ties.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
