Azerbaijan, Slovakia hail great potential for further expansion of bilateral ties PHOTO

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has received the new Ambassador of Slovakia to the Republic of Azerbaijan Milan Lajčák.

The ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to Bayramov, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

Bayramov congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his activity. He noted that there is great potential between Azerbaijan and Slovakia for further expansion of bilateral ties.

The minister added that the intensive political dialogue and mutual high-level visits over the past few years make a positive contribution to cooperation.

In turn, the ambassador noted the importance of cooperation between Slovakia and Azerbaijan in all spheres. He stressed the importance of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2023. Lajčák noted that the interest of Slovak companies in Azerbaijan is growing.

He added that special attention is paid to such sectors as energy, transport, development of small and medium-sized businesses.
