Azerbaijan, NATO explore financial, technical support For landmine clearance initiatives
A delegation led by Samir Poladov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), has started an official visit to NATO headquarters.
During the visit, representatives from ANAMA and the Azerbaijani mission to NATO held bilateral meetings with Orhan Muratli, Director of Support to Operations of the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) in Luxembourg, and other officials, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The discussions focused on Azerbaijan’s landmine problem and NATO’s financial and technical assistance to address it. They also examined modern demining technologies and new methods.
Furthermore, the parties extensively discussed the exchange of experiences in humanitarian demining.
