Western Azerbaijan Community demands Armenia renounce revanchism
In a recent statement, the Western Azerbaijan Community has demanded that Armenia abandon its revanchist tendencies, citing a surge in anti-Azerbaijani sentiment fueled by external influences.
The community expressed concern over the rising activities of revanchist forces and the Armenian diaspora, which they believe are destabilizing the region, Caliber.Az reports via the community.
"Recently, we have observed a rise in revanchist forces in Armenia and the Armenian diaspora, fueled by certain external circles, intensifying their anti-Azerbaijani campaign," said the community. "They claim that the 'Nagorno-Karabakh issue' allegedly remains unresolved."
The statement highlighted Armenia's inaction against elements threatening Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, its ongoing militarization, and the refusal to remove territorial claims against Azerbaijan from its Constitution. "Such an approach...raise serious concerns" about Armenia's intentions, the organization added.
The community emphasized that Azerbaijan has fully restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty, declaring, "This process is irreversible. The only issue remaining is the safe and dignified return of Western Azerbaijanis to their homeland."
"The Western Azerbaijan Community will continue its efforts in this direction consistently. We demand that the Armenian government and revanchists abandon their dangerous path," the statement concludes.
