Azerbaijan, Iran discuss bilateral legal issues
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Iran Ali Alizada has held talks on bilateral legal issues with the head of the International Legal Affairs Department of Iran’s Foreign Ministry Seyed Ali Mousavi, according to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran.
“Azerbaijani Ambassador to Iran Ali Alizada met with the head of the International Legal Affairs Department of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Seyed Ali Mousavi and held talks on bilateral legal issues,” the Embassy said, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
On September 22, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry expressed condolences to Tehran in connection with the death of people in a coal mine explosion in South Khorasan province which, according to the country's interior minister Eskandar Momeni the country's interior minister Eskandar Momeni, killed at least 31 people and injured 16.
The explosion was caused by a methane gas explosion in two blocks of the privately-owned mine operated by the Madanjoo company.
Moreover, as Momeni added, 17 miners were still missing and their fate remained unknown as rescue teams were still 400 metres away from their likely location. There were 69 workers in the blocks at the time of the explosion.
