Azerbaijani FM highlights strong bilateral ties with Serbia Condemns Armenia’s military build-up
At a joint press conference with his Serbian counterpart Minister Marko Djuric, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov underscored the robust strategic partnership between the two countries.
Bayramov highlighted the importance of mutual meetings in demonstrating the strength of Azerbaijan-Serbia bilateral cooperation, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The discussions during the recent meetings focused on implementing agreements signed between the two countries. Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan and Serbia consistently support each other in international organizations, reaffirming their mutual commitment to each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The talks also included discussions on collaborative efforts related to COP29, the upcoming global climate conference that Azerbaijan will host.
Bayramov noted that following Azerbaijan’s recent parliamentary elections and the formation of a new parliament, both countries' legislatures are poised to continue their mutually beneficial cooperation.
The meetings underscored the deepening of bilateral ties and the ongoing commitment to strategic collaboration between Azerbaijan and Serbia.
In his remarks, Bayramov also condemned Armenia’s military build-up, saying it poses regional security threat.

The Azerbaijani Minister criticized Armenia’s recent actions, stating that if Armenia genuinely seeks peace, it must reconsider its current strategies and military enhancements. He urged Armenia to take concrete steps toward de-escalation and stability, emphasizing that the continuation of its armament efforts undermines regional security and impedes the path to lasting peace.
