German envoy holds first meeting with Azerbaijani presidential aide
Germany’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Dirk Lölke, held his inaugural meeting with Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President and Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of Azerbaijan’s Presidential Administration, the German Embassy in Azerbaijan said.
According to the embassy, the two officials discussed a range of issues, including the economy, education, peace and security, Caliber.Az reports.
The meeting focused on the prospects for further developing bilateral relations, with both sides agreeing that German-Azerbaijani cooperation has significant potential.
“Both agreed that German-Azerbaijani cooperation holds great promise,” the embassy said, describing the discussions as open and constructive.
“Thank you for the open and constructive dialogue!” the embassy added.
The meeting marked Lölke’s first official visit to Hajiyev since taking up his post as Germany’s ambassador to Azerbaijan.
