Azerbaijan’s economy minister honors historic restoration of state sovereignty

September 20 is a significant day in Azerbaijan’s history, symbolizing the full restoration of the country’s state sovereignty, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said in a post on X.

“On 20 September 2023, as a result of the local anti-terror measures carried out under the leadership of President and Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the territorial integrity and state sovereignty of our country were fully restored,” he recalled.

Jabbarov congratulated the Azerbaijani people on State Sovereignty Day, saying: “On the occasion of State Sovereignty Day, we congratulate the people of Azerbaijan and wish our country lasting peace and prosperity. We pay deep tribute to the cherished memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for this historic achievement.”
