Azerbaijani, Pakistan FMs discuss ways to deepen bilateral, multilateral cooperation
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar on the sidelines of the 51st OIC Council of Foreign Ministers session in Istanbul, where they discussed ways to deepen both bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The two ministers engaged in detailed discussions on the current state and future development of the strategic partnership between Baku and Islamabad, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s message on X.

The meeting featured an exchange of views on the upcoming OIC summit, which Azerbaijan is set to host next month, as well as preparations for the country’s assumption of the organisation’s chairmanship in 2026. Regional security was also high on the agenda, with both sides voicing concern over escalating tensions between Israel and Iran.
The Pakistani delegation expressed particular appreciation to Azerbaijan for its recent assistance in evacuating Pakistani nationals from Iran amid the growing instability.
