Qatar, France hold talks on regional security, diplomacy
Qatar and France have discussed recent developments in the region as part of a dialogue between Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, and French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, the Qatari Foreign Ministry has stated.
In a post on X, it said the meeting took place at the Swiss resort of Bürgenstock, where the two sides discussed bilateral relations and prospects for further strengthening cooperation in various fields, as well as expanding ties, Caliber.Az reports.

Particular attention was paid to recent developments in the region, including diplomatic efforts aimed at strengthening security and stability following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.
The Qatari Foreign Minister reaffirmed full support for ongoing talks between Washington and Tehran, stressing the importance of achieving sustainable solutions to disputed issues exclusively through dialogue and peaceful means.
He added that such an approach would help strengthen regional security, expand opportunities for cooperation and development, and ensure the mutual interests of regional countries and the international community.
