Drone attacks Panama-flagged tanker in Iraqi waters

A foreign oil tanker sailing under the Panamanian flag was attacked by a drone in Iraqi territorial waters, the Iraqi news outlet Shafaq News reported, citing a security source.

According to the source, the tanker, which was carrying crude oil, came under fire in a loading area, causing part of the vessel to catch fire.

No members of the crew were injured in the incident, the security source said.

The report did not identify the tanker or specify who carried out the attack.
