The video underscores that Ganja is among the oldest cities in Azerbaijan, distinguished by its rich heritage. It highlights the city as the birthplace of renowned Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi and notes its longstanding contribution to the development of science, education, and literature.
The report also points to Ganja’s historic role as a key hub along the Silk Road, where it facilitated the exchange of knowledge and fostered a multicultural environment over centuries.
In addition, the video recalls that in 1918, Ganja served as the capital of the first parliamentary democratic republic in the East, marking an important chapter in the country’s statehood history.
