Azerbaijan, Georgia discuss combating cross-border crime PHOTO

Ali Asadov, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, met with Giorgi Gvarakidze, Prosecutor General of Georgia, to discuss cooperation in combating cross-border crime and other security challenges.

According to a statement cited by Azerbaijani news agency Report from the Cabinet of Ministers, the talks highlighted the continued development of strategic partnership relations between the two countries, based on mutual trust and the principles of good neighbourliness.

Both sides emphasised the importance of intensifying joint efforts to counter cross-border crime, cybercrime, and other contemporary challenges. They noted that expanding the exchange of experience and information in areas of mutual interest would contribute to further deepening bilateral cooperation.

The meeting also addressed prospects for enhanced collaboration between the prosecutorial authorities of Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Kamran Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General, also participated in the talks.
