Azerbaijan waives visas for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Singapore tourists for one year

01 August 2026 10:58

Azerbaijan has temporarily waived visa requirements for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Singapore travelling for tourism, the State Migration Service told Caliber.Az.

Under the measure, which takes effect from August 1, 2026 and will remain in place until August 1, 2027, holders of ordinary passports from the two countries will be permitted to enter Azerbaijan without a visa for short-term visits.

According to the new rules, eligible travellers may enter the country visa-free up to three times during the one-year period, with each stay limited to a maximum of 30 days.

The exemption applies strictly to tourism purposes. Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Singapore intending to travel for other reasons or to remain in Azerbaijan for longer periods will still be required to obtain a visa in accordance with national legislation.

Authorities also reiterated that, under the provisions of Azerbaijan’s Migration Code, foreign nationals staying in the country for more than 15 days must register at their place of residence.

For further information, the State Migration Service said inquiries can be made via its hotline at (012) 919 or by email at pr@migration.gov.az.
