Baku sends delegation to Vatican to advance religious dialogue
A delegation from Azerbaijan, led by Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organisations, is set to visit the Vatican on July 26, as part of an effort to strengthen interreligious dialogue and cooperation.
According to information provided to Caliber.Az, a key highlight of the visit will be the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Azerbaijan’s State Committee and the Holy See’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue.
The agreement aims to foster collaboration in promoting interfaith dialogue, preserving religious and cultural heritage, and enhancing cooperation between religious educational institutions in both countries.
The Azerbaijani delegation is scheduled to remain in the Vatican until July 30 and will hold meetings with several senior representatives of the Holy See during the visit.
