Baku-Yerevan peace deal to be solid investment for regional economic dev’t – German FM
Germany is offering Armenia deeper and closer cooperation.
As Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Armenian media, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said this in Yerevan at a joint press conference with her Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan.
She stressed that the countries exchange ideas and thoughts in this direction, and they have great opportunities for cooperation. Baerbock emphasized that under the current geopolitical conditions, it is very important that there is an agreed peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, since economic relations can deepen even further under such circumstances.
“Enterprises invest in countries they trust. In the case of Armenia, this is the case – there is a young and strong democracy,” the minister noted.
Baerbock emphasized that the signing of the peace treaty would be a serious investment in the economic development of the region. In her opinion, now the priority is establishing peace, and then economic issues and even simplification of the visa regime.
