Belarus experiencing hard period, says President Lukashenko
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has said that his country is going through a very difficult period caused by the events in Ukraine and the West's plans to destabilise the situation in the republic.
Lukashenko made the remarks at the Republican Pedagogical Council, Caliber.Az reports, citing Belarus media.
“We live in the most difficult time. I'm not talking about the fact that we have a war in the south. That those rabid in the West are preparing against us. We should keep this in sight,” Lukashenko said.
Also, he continued, it should be borne in mind that “it is necessary to turn the country, the country, from the West to the East in this situation.”
“It is necessary to ensure that you are accepted in the East. Thank God, we are doing it, but it is the hardest work. I want you to understand: the country is living in a very difficult period, the question is ‘either-or,” Lukashenko said.
