Biden names Putin's main goal in war against Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin did not just invade Ukraine. He wants to destroy independent Ukrainian culture because he believes that it simply does not exist.

The statement came from US President Joseph Biden, RBC-Ukraine reports.

"Look at what he (Putin - ed.) is doing. He is not just wiping off the face of the earth what's left. He destroys all their cultural centres, museums, schools, and attractions. He is trying to destroy the culture of Ukraine," Biden said.

In turn, the American leader noted that the position of staying on the sidelines and not supporting Ukraine is unacceptable, which means the West will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine even despite economic problems.

"The idea that we can stand by and let this happen is simply impossible. Impossible. And that's why we have strengthened NATO, and that's why we are helping Ukraine," Biden added.
