China’s electric vehicle exports surge 87% in November
China’s exports of electric vehicles (EVs) surged by 87% year-on-year in November, reaching 199,836 units, according to data from the country’s General Administration of Customs.
Mexico was the largest single-country recipient last month, with shipments leaping almost 25-fold to 19,300 vehicles, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
Indonesia followed with 17,500 EVs exported, up 302% compared with the same month last year, while Thailand received 13,520 cars, marking a 66% increase.
The top ten export destinations also included the Philippines, Malaysia, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Brazil, and India.
Asia remained the main export region, receiving 110,060 EVs, a 71% rise. Europe followed with 42,930 vehicles (+63%), and Latin America and the Caribbean saw the fastest regional growth, with shipments up 283% to 35,180 units.
Exports to Oceania increased by 70% to 6,350 vehicles. The only region to see a decline was North America, where shipments fell 46% to 686 cars.
Over the first eleven months of 2025, China’s EV exports rose 29% to 1.98 million units. Shipments to African countries more than doubled, reaching over 37,100 vehicles (+114%), while exports to North America dropped 73% to 8,670 units.
