Media: Russia left out of G20 group photo

Russia has been removed from the official group photo of finance ministers and central bank governors attending the G20 meeting in Asheville, United States, Business Insider Polska reports.

The outlet said the move followed a protest by EU countries against the inclusion of Russian representatives in the group photo.

According to the report, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov was attending an in-person G20 finance meeting for the first time since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war.

Despite Russia’s participation in the meeting, neither Siluanov nor another Russian representative appeared in the traditional group photo.

European officials had reportedly threatened to boycott the photo if Siluanov took part.
